Official Admits Assault On Atiku Isah, Threatens VeryDarkMan, Sowore (Video)

NANS Turmoil: Student Leader Confirms Assault on Embattled President Atiku Abubakar Isah

The internal crisis rocking the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has taken a dramatic turn, as a self-identified member of the student body has confirmed that the embattled NANS President, Atiku Abubakar Isah, was physically assaulted by fellow students.

In a viral video posted online, a man identifying himself as Yusuff Decimal claimed responsibility on behalf of NANS for the assault, asserting that the student body acted against Isah for alleged impersonation.

The video, which has been widely circulated on social media, features Yusuff speaking in Pidgin English, stating that Olushola Oladoja is the duly elected president of NANS and disassociating the association from Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.

“Seyi Tinubu is not one of us. He is not a student or a comrade,” Yusuff said, accusing some activists of attempting to politicize the students’ union. He emphasized that NANS is independent and not affiliated with any political party.

In the footage, Yusuff referenced social media commentator Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, while defending the actions taken against Atiku Abubakar Isah.

“NANS beat him because he was impersonating,” Yusuff declared, insisting that the altercation had nothing to do with Seyi Tinubu.

The situation has raised serious concerns about violence within student leadership and the politicization of NANS. The video also includes veiled threats directed at human rights activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore.

“Sowore, we go mend you,” Yusuff warned, cautioning activists to stay away from NANS matters.

The emergence of the video has intensified calls for urgent reform within the students’ union and prompted widespread condemnation from observers demanding accountability and transparency within NANS leadership.
