BBNaija’s Ka3na Urges Celebrities to Stop Faking Pregnancies, Embrace Surrogacy Transparency

Reality TV star and entrepreneur Ka3na Jones has stirred debate on social media after criticizing Nigerian celebrities who, she claims, mislead the public with fake pregnancy stories instead of being honest about using surrogacy.

In a candid post on Instagram, the former Big Brother Naija Lockdown housemate urged public figures, especially women, to be more transparent about their motherhood journeys.

“Dear Nigerian Public Figures (especially women), we are privileged to be more informed, more exposed, and better travelled. With that comes the responsibility to be honest with our followers,” she wrote.

Ka3na, mother of one, emphasized that surrogacy is a valid and empowering option that should not be hidden or treated as shameful.

“There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a baby through a surrogate. The child is 100% yours. So why deceive your fans by pretending to be pregnant?” she questioned.

Recalling her personal experience, Ka3na revealed that her first pregnancy was traumatic and left her hesitant to go through it again naturally.

“If I ever choose to have another child, I hope to go through surrogacy. And there’s nothing shameful about that,” she added.

She urged fellow celebrities to use their platforms to promote truth and support women struggling with fertility, pregnancy fears, and health challenges rather than pushing false narratives.

“We have platforms. We have influence. Let’s use them to share truth that helps, not just images that perform,” Ka3na concluded.

Ka3na, born Kate Jones, gained fame during the 2020 edition of BBNaija and has since used her influence to champion business, motherhood, and self-development. In May 2023, she lost her British husband, Mr. Jones, months after returning to Nigeria with their daughter.
