Ruben Amorim Bans Four Manchester United Stars from Pre-Season Tour

Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has reportedly banned four senior players from joining the club’s upcoming pre-season tour of the United States, according to the Daily Mail.

The players affected by the decision are Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho. Unless they secure moves away from Old Trafford before the tour begins in July, they will be made to train alone at Carrington.

Amorim, who is preparing for his first full season in charge, is aiming to restructure United’s attack after a disastrous 2024/25 campaign. The Red Devils finished a shocking 15th in the Premier League—their worst placement since being relegated in 1974—and were also defeated 1-0 by Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final.

As a result, Manchester United will miss out on European competition for only the second time in 35 years.

The club has already begun a summer rebuild, having signed Matheus Cunha in a £62.5 million deal, and are now being heavily linked with Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo as they look to reinforce their front line.
