Breaking: Netanyahu Declares ‘Historic Victory’ Over Iran, Threatens More Strikes Despite Ceasefire

In a fiery post-ceasefire statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared a “historic victory” in his country’s military clash with Iran, insisting that Tehran must never acquire a nuclear weapon. His remarks, made on Tuesday, June 24, came just hours after both nations agreed to a fragile ceasefire following 12 days of devastating airstrikes and retaliatory missile attacks.

According to a NewsVista reporter, Netanyahu warned that any attempt by Iran to rebuild its bombed nuclear facilities would trigger a renewed and even more aggressive response from Israel. “Iran will not have a nuclear weapon,” he said firmly, describing the Israeli campaign as a successful blow to Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Iran, on its part, signaled a different tone. In a nationwide broadcast, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced his country’s readiness to enter nuclear negotiations, although he stressed that Iran would continue to assert its “legitimate rights” to peaceful atomic energy.

The situation drew global attention after the United States launched bunker-buster airstrikes on underground Iranian nuclear sites, including facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, on Sunday, June 22. The airstrikes—confirmed by President Donald Trump—marked a turning point in the conflict, as Israel lacked the deep-strike capability required for such missions.

In response to the American intervention, Iran launched missiles at a U.S. base in Qatar, prompting President Trump to call for a ceasefire between all parties. The truce was eventually brokered under U.S. leadership, though tensions remain extremely high.

Despite the ceasefire, Israel has continued limited operations against Iranian military installations, while Iran has launched drone strikes into Israeli territory in apparent defiance.

Trump also reignited controversy when he publicly rebuked his Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, who had earlier claimed that there was no concrete evidence that Iran was building a nuclear bomb. Trump dismissed her position, stating that the intelligence was clear and the danger real.

According to Iranian officials, over 400 civilians have been killed and more than 3,000 injured since the first Israeli strikes began on Friday, June 13, allegedly with U.S. backing. Meanwhile, in Israel, authorities report that 24 citizens have been killed by Iranian missile attacks.

Trump, speaking from Washington, expressed full confidence in Israel’s military advantage. “Tehran is losing. They should have signed the nuclear deal when they had the chance. Now, they’ve walked into a war they cannot win,” he stated. “Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon—it’s that simple.”

With diplomatic tensions rising and both nations still reeling from losses, the international community is now watching closely to see whether the ceasefire holds—or gives way to a far more dangerous confrontation.
