Trump Threatens to Unleash DOGE On Musk, Send Him Back to South Africa
United States President Donald Trump has threatened to send his former political ally, Elon Musk, back to South Africa.
He also threatened to unleash the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) on the Tesla CEO, reigniting their rivalry.
Recall that Musk had spearheaded the DOGE until May, which focused on slashing fraud and waste in the countryâs government spending.
Their relationship, however, went sour shortly after Musk exited Trumpâs administration.
The clashes between the duo had subsided until Monday, when Musk restarted the face-off with a post on X that said those who campaigned on cutting spending but backed the presidentâs bill âshould hang their heads in shame.â
Â
The worldâs richest man also threatened if the bill is passed, he will form the America Party the next day.
Reacting, Trump in a post on Truth Social on Monday night, stated that the billionaire âmay get more subsidy than any human being in history, by farâ, stressing that âwithout subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africaâ.
According to Trump, âno more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE.
âPerhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!â
