“Internally Displaced Politicians”: Bwala Blasts Atiku, Obi, Others Over 2027 Plot Against Tinubu

According to a NewsVista reporter, the Presidency has fired back at the newly formed opposition coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), branding the movement a desperate gathering of “internally displaced politicians.”

Presidential spokesman Dr. Daniel Bwala took to his verified X page on Thursday, slamming the coalition as “dead on arrival” and mocking its ambition to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

Bwala, once a media aide to Atiku Abubakar but now a key figure in the Tinubu camp, didn’t hold back: “It’s an association of wild goose chasers,” he wrote, calling the alliance unserious and bound to fail.

The ADC coalition, unveiled in Abuja, includes high-profile political players like Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, Rauf Aregbesola, Rotimi Amaechi, Nasir El-Rufai, and Aminu Tambuwal. Former Senate President David Mark was announced as interim chairman, with Aregbesola as interim secretary.

But Bwala dismissed the group’s credibility, throwing Obi’s own past words back at him by labeling the coalition a “structure of criminality.” He argued that the group is made up of recycled political actors trying to regain lost influence.

In a related jab, Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, suggested Obi is walking into a trap, warning that the ADC coalition may eventually betray him before 2027.

While opposition leaders aim to present a united front, the ruling party appears unshaken — and ready to defend its hold on power.
