“You ruined Hip-Hop” – Nicki Minaj Blasts Jay-Z and Roc Nation CEO in Explosive Social Media Rant

Nicki Minaj is once again making headlines — this time for firing direct shots at Jay-Z and his Roc Nation empire. In a fiery string of tweets, the rap superstar called out the iconic mogul and his top executive, Desiree Perez, accusing them of contributing to what she calls the downfall of hip-hop and Black excellence.

Nicki Minaj, who has been criticizing Roc Nation’s CEO for months — often cryptically referring to her as “Desirat” — pulled no punches this time as she brought Jay-Z himself into the mix.

In a now-viral tweet, she wrote:

“#JayZ you let Desirat do a lot of evil to black ppl & you stayed silent. We used to believe you. You went out sad ngga.
This is all alleged & for entertainment purposes only.
Desirat did you get that 40MM?
55 & paying for bots?
Oh bot nation”*

She followed up with another sharp message:

“Dear #JayZ & Desirat
You ruined hiphop
You ruined football
You ruined basketball
You ruined touring
You ruined instagram
You ruined Twitter
The jig is up. All of this is alleged & for entertainment purposes only”

Minaj even questioned Jay-Z’s involvement in the Super Bowl Halftime Show, noting:

“So wait. JayZ had not like us playing at the Super Bowl after his CEO was pardoned by President Trump????? We gotta find out who is ‘they’.
President Biden posting not like us after Desirat was pardoned by President Trump is so 😩.”

As expected, reactions online have been deeply divided. While Minaj’s devoted Barbz rallied behind her, defending her right to speak out, others labeled the tweets as “erratic” or “bizarre.”

This isn’t the first time Nicki Minaj has used her platform to call out powerful figures in the industry, but her recent comments suggest that she may be gearing up for a more aggressive phase of transparency and confrontation.

Whether this social media storm blows over or builds into something bigger, one thing is clear: Nicki Minaj has no intention of staying silent.
