“I Just Wanted to Help Her Save Her Marriage” — Woman Haunted After Charm Meant for Husband Kills Daughter, Destroys Best Friend’s Life

According to a NewsVista report, a woman is battling overwhelming guilt after a desperate attempt to help her best friend, Angela (not her real name), led to tragedy. The heartbreaking story has shocked many online and sparked serious conversations around the dangers of spiritual shortcuts in relationships.

Angela had been with her partner for six years and bore him two daughters before he finally married her after becoming financially stable. But soon after the wedding, their dream began to crumble. Her husband, now successful, began insulting her daily for being “barren” when they couldn’t conceive again.

With no parents and no one to turn to, Angela would cry to her best friend every night. The situation worsened when her husband started seeing another woman and even planned to marry her. Out of frustration, her best friend suggested they visit a native doctor—someone she had used in the past.

The native doctor charged ₦50,000 and gave them a charm meant to restore love and chase away the other woman. Angela was instructed to secretly mix it into her husband’s food. But fate took a cruel turn—her first daughter accidentally ate the food meant for her father.

She fell violently ill and died two weeks later.

Angela, shattered by grief, began acting strange and eventually lost her mind. Her husband and family tried to help for a while, but soon abandoned her. Today, Angela is on the streets, mentally unstable, and completely alone.

The friend who told NewsVista this story says she hasn’t slept since. She’s spent all her savings trying to reverse the damage, but nothing has worked. Even the native doctor now claims there’s nothing more he can do.

Her final words: “I am so sorry, Angela. I was only trying to help.”

This tragic story serves as a warning about the deadly consequences of relying on charms or spiritual manipulation in marriage. Experts urge couples facing challenges to seek help from professional counsellors, family elders, or religious leaders instead.

Angela’s story is a heartbreaking reminder that sometimes, even the best intentions can lead to irreversible destruction.
