Plane Crashes Again in India, Killing Two Pilots on Board, Safety Review Launched

According to a NewsVista reporter, a training flight turned fatal on Wednesday afternoon when an Indian Air Force Jaguar trainer aircraft crashed in Rajasthan’s Churu district. The crash claimed the lives of both pilots onboard and has reignited safety concerns surrounding India’s military aircraft.

The aircraft went down around 1:25 p.m. in an open field near Bhanoda village. Fortunately, no civilian injuries or property damage were reported. In an official statement, the IAF confirmed the loss and extended condolences to the grieving families, stating that a full investigation has been ordered.

This marks yet another incident in a growing list of IAF crashes. In recent months, jets have gone down in Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh—many due to technical faults during routine flights. While some pilots managed to eject safely, others were not as fortunate.

The repeated crashes have triggered debates around aging air fleets, technical reliability, and the urgency of modernizing India’s military aviation infrastructure.

Investigators are now focused on uncovering the cause of this latest tragedy, as calls grow louder for stronger safety protocols and equipment upgrades across the Air Force.
