“It’s Hard to Find a Decent Man in Nigeria” – Uriel Oputa (Video)

Reality TV personality Uriel Oputa has voiced her frustrations over the current dating climate in Nigeria, sharing candid thoughts on the scarcity of decent men and her admiration for music executive Don Jazzy.

Speaking in a recent interview on Outside the Box, Uriel Oputa expressed concern over the growing number of attractive, accomplished women in their mid-30s to early 40s who remain single, despite their beauty and success.

According to her, one major issue is the “there’s always something better” mindset many Nigerian men seem to hold onto, making it harder for relationships to flourish.

“You’ll see a woman in Nigeria now, she’s 35, some of them are even 40, 41. They’re still single – fine fine girls, but they’re still single. Why? Ogini?” she said. “It’s hard to find a decent man in Nigeria and it boils down to what? We have a culture of ‘there is always something better.’ There’s nothing better.”

Uriel Oputa also confessed her admiration for Don Jazzy, hinting at her belief that she’d become more successful if they were romantically involved. However, she noted his past remarks about not being able to stay with one woman as a possible barrier.

“I love Don Jazzy. I know I will blow up, but I feel like… he said something about not being able to stay with one woman,” she added.

Her comments have since stirred conversation online, resonating with many who share similar sentiments about modern-day relationships in Nigeria.
