My Mother Faked a Stroke to Stop My Wedding — She Claimed My Fiancé Was Her Ex-Lover

For months, my mum kept saying my fiancé “looked familiar.”

I thought she was just being protective.

Three days to my wedding, she slumped on the floor and started shouting, “My chest! My leg! I can’t feel my leg!”

We rushed her to the hospital. But the doctor said, “Madam is perfectly fine. No stroke, no high BP. She’s acting.”

Later that night, she called me privately and dropped a bomb:
“You can’t marry him. He was my secret lover years ago. He even promised me marriage.”

I thought she was lying — until my fiancé confirmed it.
They had met years ago when he was dating an “older woman” during his university days.

My whole world crashed.
My mother begged me not to continue, but I was already two months pregnant for him.

Now I live in shame. My husband and mother can’t even look each other in the eye.
