The Herbalist Told Me to Sleep With My Mother — Or Die in 7 Days

I was foolish and greedy. I wanted money so badly that I followed my friend to a herbalist deep in Osun State. They told me he was “high ranking” — someone who works with big politicians and Yahoo boys. I didn’t believe in all that, but after struggling for so long, I gave in.

The ritual was supposed to be simple — three days of sacrifice, a goat, a white fowl, and midnight bath. I was ready.

But on the third day, the herbalist dropped a bombshell:
“You must sleep with your mother or you will die within 7 days.”

I froze. I thought it was a joke. He wasn’t laughing. He said if I didn’t do it, the gods would take my life. I ran out of the shrine, confused and afraid.

When I got home, I avoided everyone. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. I started seeing strange things at night. A dog with red eyes followed me in my dreams. I felt like I was losing my mind.

I later confessed to my mother, crying and shaking. She collapsed when she heard it. We had to go to a real man of God for help. It took serious prayers and fasting to break it.

Till today, I still wonder: How many desperate youths are being given deadly assignments like this just for money?
