“She Said She Was Going to Ejigbo and Would Return”—Mystery Deepens Around Missing Lagos Mother, Noimot

The painful disappearance of 30-year-old single mother, Noimot Olawale, has left her family in anguish, as conflicting reports and unanswered questions continue to cloud the case.

According to Punch (August 15, 2025), Noimot’s last known words to her friend were simple:

“I’m going to Ejigbo to see someone, I’ll be back.”
But she never returned.

How the Tragedy Unfolded

On July 18, Noimot left for work at a hotel in Ladega, Ikorodu, alongside a friend. Shortly after arriving, she stepped out, assuring her she would return.

By the next day, her brother Ibrahim Olawale received a shocking call: a stranger claimed she had been in an accident and rushed to LASUTH. But when the family got there, hospital staff confirmed she was not admitted, not in the emergency ward, and not even listed in the mortuary.

Conflicting Stories Raise More Questions

  • Her colleague claimed Noimot later slept at the hotel.

  • The hotel’s manager, Rafiu, insisted both women left around 9 pm and never came back.

  • The hotel’s owner, Wale Onibudo, backed the manager’s account.

The contradictions have only deepened the family’s fears.

Dark Suspicions in the Community

Ibrahim revealed that suspicion soon fell on a notorious Alfa in the area, known for alleged ritual practices. A viral video linking him to brutal killings further heightened fears of foul play.

Efforts to trace Noimot’s phone through MTN and Airtel initially gave hope—but the trail eventually went cold.

A Son Left Behind

Now, Noimot’s 9-year-old son waits in confusion, asking questions his family cannot answer. As the days turn into weeks, the Olawales are pleading with security agencies to intensify investigations and unravel the mystery.
