“My Producer Forced Himself on Me and Said No One Would Hear If I Shouted” — Gospel Singer Nifemi Gold Speaks Out
Nigerian gospel artiste Adeyinka Oluwatobi, popularly known as Nifemi Gold, has bravely opened up about a traumatic experience that left deep scars on her life.
In an emotional interview on Wasilacoded TV’s YouTube channel (August 22, 2025), the singer recounted how her former producer allegedly forced his way into her room and sexually assaulted her, despite her cries for help.
“He Jumped On My Back and Locked the Door”
According to Gold, she was recovering from a spinal cord injury at the time and had instructed the children living with her to keep her door open for easy access in case she needed help.
That night, after the children came in to wish her a happy birthday and left, the door creaked open again. Thinking it was one of the children, she called out, but instead, her producer appeared.
“He suddenly jumped on my back while I was lying face down. I tried to resist but he held me down. He said if I shouted, no one would hear me because the door was locked,” she said tearfully.
Gold revealed that the assault even happened in front of her child, who tried to intervene but was restrained by the producer.
“A Pastor Threatened Me With Death”
After the incident, she said, the producer shockingly called a pastor, who warned her never to speak about what happened, threatening that she would die if she did.
Despite the threats, Gold chose courage:
“I put everything in God’s hands. He will judge between me and the man who wronged me.”
The singer added that the ordeal worsened her health condition, but she is determined not to let it silence her.
