Man who stabbed partner 8 times after she caught him in bed with male lover jailed
According to reports from Mirror UK, a 35-year-old man, Ryan Leggett, has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for brutally stabbing his partner eight times after she caught him in bed with another man.
The shocking incident occurred in Lowestoft, England, when Leggett’s partner returned home from work around 1 a.m. on November 23 and found him naked in bed with a male lover — with a plate of cocaine beside them.
Enraged and desperate to silence her, Leggett grabbed a kitchen knife and launched a savage attack, inflicting multiple stab wounds to her neck, chest, and abdomen, leaving her with life-threatening injuries.
Investigations revealed that Leggett even took her phone and locked her inside the house before fleeing to his father’s home, where he was later arrested.
At Ipswich Crown Court, Judge Martyn Levett described Leggett as “an unpredictable and dangerous man prone to violent outbursts after taking drugs,” adding that he likely wanted the victim dead to “save his own embarrassment.”
The court heard that the victim suffered a punctured lung, fractured rib, and liver damage, but miraculously survived after emergency intervention.
Leggett denied attempted murder but was found guilty by a jury in September. In addition to his prison sentence, he was given an indefinite restraining order preventing any contact with the victim or her family.
The judge ordered that he serve two-thirds of his sentence before being eligible for parole.
This brutal case has stunned the community, with many describing it as a “terrifying act of betrayal and violence fueled by shame and drugs.” Read Original
