2 Men Who Unknowingly Helped Their Neighbour Hide The Lifeless Body Of Her Daughter Speaks Out

In Seraleng, Rustenburg, two unemployed men are now grappling with guilt and trauma after realizing they inadvertently assisted their neighbour in concealing the murder of her 20-year-old daughter.

Police confirmed that the mother was arrested earlier this week after her daughter’s decomposing body was discovered in a shallow pit behind their rented home. The men, both in their thirties, were asked by the woman to move what they believed were bags of old rubbish late at night. Unbeknownst to them, the bags contained the victim’s body.

“We can’t sleep. Every time we close our eyes, we see her face. We had no idea what we were doing,” one of the men said, visibly shaken. His friend added, “We thought we were helping a struggling mother, not hiding a crime.”

Police spokesperson Colonel Amanda Seisa stated that the arrest followed a tip-off from community members who noticed suspicious activity and a foul smell around the house. The suspect now faces charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
