Chivayo gifts Sunday Chidzambwa 2026 Toyota Fortuner, US$20,000 for backing Mnangagwa’s 2030 Agenda

Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo has gifted legendary Zimbabwean football coach and Footballers4ED member Sunday Chidzambwa a brand new 2026 Toyota Fortuner and US$20,000 cash.
The gift comes days after Chidzambwa trended on social media following his public association with Footballers4ED, a ZANU PF affiliate group campaigning for President Emmerson Mnangagwa to remain in office until 2030.

Mnangagwa is currently serving his constitutionally mandated second and final term, which ends in 2028. However, a faction within the ruling party is pushing for an extension of his rule to 2030, a campaign now widely referred to as the “2030 Agenda.” Footballers4ED is among the groups openly backing the initiative.
Announcing the gift on social media, Chivayo praised Chidzambwa’s political stance and loyalty.
“Just recently, I was most delighted by his open support for President Mnangagwa, as he praised His Excellency’s exceptional support for local football.
“Even in his twilight years, Mhofu is an avid and active member of Coaches4ED, which shows beyond doubt how much of a patriot and nationalist he is, even away from the field of play.
“For that patriotic loyalty and a lifetime of football excellence, it is my highest honor to now extend my humble gesture of appreciation. Please go and see Victor at Exquisite Car Dealership and collect your brand-new 2026 Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD6 4×2.”

“You will also receive a small USD 20,000 CASH for lunch and fuel,” Chivayo wrote on social media.
Chidzambwa is widely regarded as Zimbabwe’s most successful football coach, having won four of the country’s five COSAFA Cup titles.
He also guided the Warriors to their maiden Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) appearance in 2004, before leading the national team to another AFCON qualification in 2019, cementing his legacy as one of the country’s most influential football figures.
