Rapper Future’s baby mama claims he hasn’t seen their son in over a year
Rapper Future is facing fresh allegations from his ex-girlfriend Brittni Mealy, who claims he has not seen their 13-year-old son, Prince, for more than 16 months amid an ongoing legal dispute.
According to a letter dated April 7, 2026, submitted as part of their court case, Mealy denied accusations that she had blocked the rapper’s access to their son.
“I have not blocked access in any way, shape or form,” she stated, adding that Future has “not seen his son in over sixteen months, has not called him, and has not meaningfully inquired” about his education, health, or general wellbeing.
She further alleged that the rapper had missed key milestones, including birthdays and school-related events, despite having direct access to Prince, including a phone number he could use at any time.
Mealy also claimed that Future deliberately distanced himself, alleging he changed his phone number and instructed people around him not to share it with their son. She added that he “has given strict orders that those in his circle and family are not to have a relationship with his son,” and even dismissed an employee who had built a bond with the child.
She also addressed an attempt by Future’s mother to gain access to Prince, saying she declined the request as she was under “no legal obligation” to grant it.
The dispute is part of a wider court battle between the pair. Earlier this year, Mealy accused Future of failing to comply with a court order requiring him to secure a $500,000 life insurance policy naming their son as beneficiary.
In response, the rapper’s legal team has denied the claim, insisting that the policy was in fact obtained. Mealy concluded by suggesting that Future only engages when matters become public, alleging he responds primarily out of concern for his public image rather than his parental responsibilities.
