Couple who have been together for 41 years goes viral on 39th anniversary

A Nigerian couple who met during NYSC in 1983 goes viral as they celebrate their 39th marriage anniversary in harmony.

Their son, Damilola Praiseworth on X (formerly known as Twitter) posted the images on the platform in honour of their wedding anniversary.

Damilola, a cleric, proudly revealed that his parents are a testament to the enduring happiness that married couples can achieve.

He mentioned that they have been together for 41 years and, despite the challenges of life, they still enjoy each other’s company like newlyweds.

He captioned the post, “They lied when they told you that married couples can’t stay happy forever. I have seen these two go through life and are still so in love, enjoying each other’s company like they met yesterday. 41 years together, 39 years in marriage. Happy Anniversary Dad & Mom. 1983 >>2024.”

The post has since generated hundreds of comments from many who concluded that ‘bad marriages’ have better publicity than the good ones.
