While Obi remains with the Labour Party “for now,” he explained that Obi is carrying “three backpacks” — a metaphor for the various political options available to him. “He’s negotiating — and it’s smart. The same way APC was born from mergers, we too are building something massive.”

Addressing speculation about a possible Obi-Atiku reunion, Azomchime was firm: “Obi will never be vice president to anyone. He is the face of the Nigerian dream.”

The discussion shifted to the core issue of power rotation between the North and South. Azomchime made his position clear: “Let’s be honest. After Tinubu’s four years, Nigeria will reassess. If Tinubu performs well, fine. If not, the people will choose competence over region. And Peter Obi is already the answer.”
