Lizzo Says Her Last Album “Wasn’t It for the Summer,” Confirms New Project Already in the Works

Lizzo

Looks like Lizzo is switching gears and hitting reset — and quickly.

The Houston native, who’s been dropping singles like “Still Bad” and the title track “Love In Real Life,” just let fans in on a surprise move: she’s already cooking up a whole new album.

Taking to Bluesky, the “About Damn Time” hitmaker kept it real:

“Sorry yall I been in the studio making a new album cus this last album wasn’t it for the summer.
Since Monday I’ve done 11 songs. It’s coming soon 🤫”

Now that’s a pivot.

Fans were already hyped about the R&B-meets-pop direction of her last few drops, but Lizzo seems ready to deliver something with a bit more heat — and she’s teasing even more Rap-flavored tracks this time around.

Whether this means a whole new sound or just some summertime bangers to shake the timeline up, one thing’s clear: Lizzo’s not playing around.
