“I Don’t Know the Man Who Got Me Pregnant” – Young Lady Breaks Down After DNA Test Exposes Truth

A young Ghanaian woman named Lawrencia has stunned listeners on Kumasi’s popular Lawson Afisem radio show after a DNA test revealed that the man she accused of fathering her child is not the biological father.

Lawrencia, who appeared on the show with her mother, was visibly heartbroken when the results were announced. She had accused a man of impregnating her after a sexual encounter in an uncompleted building and demanded he take responsibility. However, the man denied any involvement, prompting the show’s host, Maame Frimpomaa Korankye (MFK), to arrange a paternity test.

To the shock of everyone present, the DNA result proved the accused man was not the father. Overwhelmed with emotion, Lawrencia broke down in tears and admitted on air, “I don’t know the man who slept with me and got me pregnant.”

Her confession has since gone viral, sparking widespread conversations across Ghana about sexual health, consent, and the vulnerability of young women in precarious situations.

Lawrencia later mentioned a second possible partner—Paul, a friend of the initial accused—whom she had also been with around the same period. However, Paul and his family have reportedly relocated from Kumasi, making it difficult to track him down.

The emotional saga has drawn mixed reactions online. While some sympathize with Lawrencia and call for support, others question how she could be uncertain about the father of her child. Social commentators have also highlighted the dangers of unsafe environments like abandoned buildings, where many young people engage in risky behavior.

MFK, who gained fame under the mentorship of Auntie Naa, handled the situation with her trademark empathy and professionalism. She pledged that her team will continue to support Lawrencia and follow up on the case.

The incident has reignited debate on how deeply personal issues are handled on public platforms and the growing need for youth education on sexual health and responsible relationships.

As efforts continue to find Paul, Lawrencia faces the emotional and financial challenges of single motherhood—still unsure of her child’s paternity, but hopeful for clarity and closure.
