“Men Can’t Stop Staring at Me”: Actress Olaide Oyedeji Speaks on Struggles of Single Motherhood and Unwanted Attention

Nollywood actress Olaide Oyedeji has opened up about the challenges she faces as a single mother—especially the kind of attention she receives from men when she steps out with her son.

In a candid video shared on her official YouTube channel, Oyedeji TV, the actress reflected on her day-to-day reality, revealing how her physical appearance often draws attention in public spaces, particularly at her son’s barbershop.

“I have a beautiful body, and men always stare at me whenever I take my son to the barber’s shop,” she said. “It makes me uncomfortable. The barbers start asking me questions I shouldn’t be the one answering—those are questions his father should handle if he was involved.”

Oyedeji also took the opportunity to call out absent baby daddies, criticizing those who are quick to post pictures of their children online while failing to take responsibility in real life.

“Some of them will post pictures of their kids with uncut hair online. But they can’t even take the child to the salon because they’re dirty and irresponsible,” she added.

The actress emphasized the need for more responsible co-parenting, urging fathers to play active roles in their children’s lives—not just on social media, but in real, everyday moments that matter.
