“Yes, I’m in Love — But Still Single!”: Lady Zamar Sets the Record Straight on Her Relationship Status
South African award-winning singer Lady Zamar is in love — but don’t get it twisted — she’s still technically single.
During a candid chat on the Loud Wednesday podcast hosted by former Big Brother Mzansi star Yolanda, the Collide hitmaker, whose real name is Yamikani Banda, opened up about her current relationship.
“I am currently seeing someone, yes,” she revealed. But she made it clear she’s not taken just yet:
“Until I am a wife of somebody — on a technicality, I am still single. If he wants to lock this down, he needs to make sure that he marries me; otherwise, no.”
Lady Zamar’s fans have been buzzing ever since the interview dropped, many applauding her for being clear on what commitment means to her.

This isn’t her first time dropping hints about being happily boo’d up. Back in February 2024, she gushed on the Spreading Humours podcast about a mystery man she’d just started seeing. “I am head over heels, guys,” she admitted. “We have been seeing each other for just under a month. I love to love.”
Valentine’s Day that year was especially memorable for her — though she kept the details (and her date) private.
Of course, the internet had jokes. Some fans playfully speculated about her boyfriend’s identity, with one tweet going viral asking if she’s dating “a nobody like Colbert.” But despite the curiosity, Lady Zamar is keeping her lips sealed on who her mystery man really is.
In recent months, the songstress has also shared her personal thoughts on social media, writing on X (formerly Twitter):
“I’m not hurt; I don’t need to heal; I just want to share what I think or tell you stuff I think is helpful.”
One thing’s for sure — whether she’s single or spoken for, Lady Zamar is living in love on her own terms.
