“I’m a Prophet!” – Toyin Abraham Brags After Therapist Confirms Healing Power of Her Movie
Award-winning Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has made a bold declaration about her impact — claiming she’s more than just a filmmaker, but a prophet whose movies heal souls.
Taking to Instagram, Toyin shared a screenshot of a message she received from a professional therapist who used her latest cinema film, Iyalode, in a therapy session with an elderly client. According to the therapist, the movie brought relief, emotional release, and a sense of calm and joy to the woman during the session.
“I just don’t shoot movies,” Toyin wrote, “I’m a Prophet and I speak and heal people through my movies.”
She also encouraged fans to see Iyalode, which is still showing in Nigerian cinemas, promising that it would bless those who watch it.

This new revelation adds to Toyin Abraham’s already growing list of achievements in 2024.
Just a few weeks ago, her blockbuster film Alakada: Bad and Boujee was ranked the 5th highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time, a major win for both Toyin and the Alakada franchise.
In March, she was honored at the prestigious 2024 Silverbird Man of the Year Awards, receiving the Trailblazer Award for being a “fearless, dynamic, and redefining force in Nollywood.”
To celebrate, she posted a heartfelt note of gratitude:
“This award reminds me that hard work, perseverance, and passion never go unnoticed. The journey hasn’t been easy, but every challenge shaped me, and every win fuels my purpose.”
