President Tinubu Condemns Konduga Suicide Bombing

President Tinubu Reacts to Konduga Bombing, Vows to Crush Boko Haram Remnants

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has condemned the recent suicide bombing in Konduga, Borno State, describing it as a “cowardly and desperate act” by Boko Haram remnants attempting to destabilize peace in the region.

The blast, which occurred over the weekend, resulted in multiple civilian casualties, prompting nationwide mourning and concern.

In a statement released on Sunday through his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President expressed deep sorrow over the attack and extended his condolences to the victims’ families and the people of Borno State.

“President Tinubu has expressed anguish over the suicide bombing in Konduga… The President mourned those who lost their lives, describing the attack as cowardly,” the statement read.

Tinubu to Security Forces: “Crush These Terrorists Now”

The President urged Nigeria’s security agencies to intensify their efforts in neutralizing the last traces of the Boko Haram insurgency. He noted that the group’s shift to soft civilian targets reflects a diversionary and desperate strategy after sustained military pressure.
