“I Found My Worth After Divorce” — Nonku Williams Opens Up About Healing, Trauma, and Faith on Untied

By NewsVista Reporter | June 24, 2025

Reality star and entrepreneur Nonku Williams is finally pulling back the curtain on her private pain, stepping away from the glitz of reality television to share her emotional journey of survival, self-discovery, and spiritual healing.

In a heartfelt interview featured on Showmax’s raw and revealing series Untied, the Real Housewives of Durban star shared intimate details of her past — from enduring a difficult marriage to finding peace after divorce.

“I felt it was time to share my story,” Nonku told TshisaLIVE, in a clip reviewed by Newsvista.com.ng. “Not the polished, edited version people see on TV, but the truth of what I’ve survived behind the scenes.”

“My Identity Is in God”

For Nonku, the end of her marriage became a defining moment — not of loss, but of awakening.

“Divorce stripped me emotionally,” she admitted. “But through it, I realized that my worth isn’t in being married or how others view me. My identity is in God, and that gave me true freedom.”

She described the decision to speak about the trauma and abuse she experienced as both painful and freeing, acknowledging that sharing her truth might help others facing similar struggles.

“Speaking about those dark times brings me healing. And if it gives one woman the courage to speak up or walk away, then it’s worth it.”

A Different Side of Reality

While Nonku has become a household name through the glamour and drama of Real Housewives of Durban, she admitted that fans have never truly seen the raw, unfiltered version of herself.

“The wigs, the sass, the fashion — that’s just one part of me. But this? This is the real me. Sometimes broken. But now healing. Now free.”

Her boldness has struck a chord online, with fans and fellow women applauding her bravery for lifting the veil on her personal battles.

Faith as Her Foundation

Nonku credited her journey of healing to her deep faith in God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, which she says gave her the courage to go public with her story.

“Without God, I couldn’t have done this. He called me to speak — no more fear, no more silence.”

Through Untied, Nonku is not just reclaiming her voice — she’s offering a message of hope to countless women navigating pain behind closed doors.

“There is light after the storm,” she concluded. “And there is life after heartbreak.”
