Shock in Abuja as Pastor Amos Isah Is Arrested Over Alleged Assault on 14-Year-Old Girl

The Gwagwaada community in Abuja is reeling from a wave of disbelief and anger following the arrest of popular pastor Amos Isah, founder of the Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry, over a disturbing accusation involving a 14-year-old girl.

According to a NewsVista reporter, the arrest was carried out by operatives of the Federal Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), who are investigating allegations that Pastor Isah sexually assaulted the minor—someone who allegedly trusted him as a spiritual father.

This news has shaken the foundation of his congregation. Pastor Isah, widely known for his fiery preaching and regular claims of divine encounters, had built a strong following in Gwagwaada. His church, located just behind Noble Noel Academy, had become a spiritual hub for locals. Now, the same people who once saw him as a holy man are struggling to process the news.

Before his arrest, the pastor was highly active on social media, especially Facebook. He often posted videos preaching about purity, godliness, and avoiding sin. That public image of a righteous man now stands in direct conflict with the shocking allegations against him.

Sources say that his last service was on June 18, 2025. A gathering took place the next day, but notably, without him. Suspicion grew among church members when he failed to show up, and all attempts to reach him proved unsuccessful.

Further investigation revealed the shocking claim that the pastor may have used his spiritual authority to manipulate and exploit a vulnerable girl. A senior FCID officer has confirmed that the victim is a minor and the case is being handled with seriousness. However, concerns are rising about alleged attempts to suppress the investigation.

Some insiders claim that a few police officers are trying to shield the pastor, and that there is pressure on the girl’s family to stay silent. The fear among many Nigerians is that power and influence could once again interfere with justice—as has happened too many times before.

The atmosphere at the church is now tense and uncertain. Worship services have slowed, and many members are keeping their distance. While a few loyalists believe the pastor is being spiritually attacked, others are calling for his immediate suspension from public ministry until the matter is resolved in court.

This story raises urgent questions about trust, leadership, and justice. How do we protect our children when those in positions of spiritual power turn out to be predators? And if the law cannot act fairly because of influence and cover-ups, what hope is left for victims?

Nigerians online are demanding full accountability. The FCID is being urged to handle the case transparently and without bias, no matter who is involved or how influential they may be.

Let this serve as a wake-up call. Not everyone behind the pulpit is pure, and we must stop confusing titles with character. No child should ever suffer in silence, and no leader—no matter how popular—should be above the law.

Now we ask:
Should powerful people be treated differently when they commit crimes—or should justice be blind, fair, and equal for all?
