We Dug a Soakaway — And Found a Bag Full of Charms and Human Hair
What began as a simple repair job has now plunged an entire compound into fear and confusion.
According to NewsVista‘s eyewitness report, residents of a Lagos apartment were left stunned after bricklayers, digging a new soakaway to fix long-standing drainage issues, uncovered a black nylon bag buried deep beneath the earth. But this was no ordinary bag — what was inside has since turned the peaceful compound upside down.
The discovery happened on the third day of digging. As one of the workers hit something solid and unusual, he called for help. What they pulled out sent shivers down everyone’s spine: a nylon bag, tightly sealed with red and white threads — a setup widely recognized in local spiritual practices.
“When they opened it, the entire compound gathered around. Even the men stepped back. Inside was a disturbing mix — human hair, snail shells, pieces of red cloth, cowries, and two folded papers with names written on them. One was mine. The other belonged to my neighbour’s wife,” a resident told NewsVista.
The atmosphere changed instantly.
Gasps filled the air. Some women screamed. One woman — whose name was on the paper — collapsed right there in shock. Whispers turned into accusations. Suspicion grew. And worst of all? The landlord, according to eyewitnesses, looked away as though the discovery wasn’t new to him.
Neighbors are now divided.
Some believe the charm was planted by someone with deep spiritual knowledge, maybe to harm or control. Others suspect it was the work of a jealous tenant. But with no solid proof, tension has gripped the compound like never before.
“Since that day, I haven’t been able to sleep well. I hear things — whispers, footsteps — even when no one is there. My neighbour’s wife has fallen seriously ill. We don’t know if it’s connected, but nothing feels normal anymore,” the resident added.
What’s most disturbing is that the item might have been buried over a year ago — quietly working its way into the lives of the victims without them knowing.
Now, the compound stands on shaky ground — spiritually and emotionally. Trust has eroded. Accusations fly. And the landlord’s silence only raises more questions.
Was this a forgotten charm? A spiritual trap? Or someone’s desperate act of vengeance?
One thing is clear: someone in that compound wanted harm — and their secret just got dug up.
