According to a post shared by President Donald Trump on his Truth Social account, the United States launched 30 precision missiles from submarines during the recent joint U.S.–Israeli operation against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Trump emphasized the role of American firepower in what he described as a decisive strike that obliterated Iran’s most protected facilities.“They didn’t move anything. They didn’t think it was actually going to be doable on what we did. And what we did was amazing,” Trump wrote. Referring to the Fordo facility buried under tons of rock, he added: “There were energy commissions that went there. It was just a thousands of tons of rock in that room right now. That room, the whole place was just destroyed, and the other two also.”

Trump credited Israel with inflicting preliminary damage but claimed the United States dealt the final blow. “Now, Israel was able to do damage, but we did the final damage. And we have the greatest submarines in the world, we launched 30 rockets from submarine. Every single one of them hit their target.”

The strike was part of Operation Midnight Hammer, a coordinated military assault on June 22 that targeted Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan—three key nuclear sites in Iran. Trump’s remarks came days after he declared that the mission had effectively “ended” Iran’s nuclear ambitions, at least for the moment.

While Trump hailed the operation as “amazing,” a leaked DIA assessment and IAEA monitoring reports suggest the damage may be temporary. Intelligence officials believe Iran retained part of its enriched uranium stockpile and may be able to restart its program within months.

The joint strikes took place during an intense 12-day confrontation between Iran and Israel, with U.S. involvement tipping the scale. Trump’s post now adds more detail to what was previously a classified strike method, further highlighting the increasing militarization of U.S. policy in the Middle East and the narrowing space for diplomacy.
