2027 Election: Primate Ayodele Mentions Presidential Candidate ADC Coalition Would Pick
According to a NewsVista reporter, fiery Nigerian cleric Primate Elijah Ayodele has stirred the political waters once again — this time predicting that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will emerge as the chosen presidential candidate of the newly formed opposition coalition for 2027.
Ayodele made the bold claim in a video shared on his verified X handle, shortly after the coalition of opposition leaders officially adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their unified platform on Wednesday, July 2.
“They’re going to pick Atiku,” the cleric declared, adding that other notable figures like Rotimi Amaechi and Nasir El-Rufai have no real shot at clinching the ticket. “But,” he warned, “there’s a clause.”
The INRI Evangelical spiritual leader didn’t stop there. He cautioned that if the ruling APC doesn’t “obey spiritual direction,” their grip on power may break in 2027. “It is not fully guaranteed that the ruling party can win,” he said.
The unveiling of the opposition alliance took place at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, where top political figures including Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, Rauf Aregbesola, and Aminu Tambuwal made appearances.
Also present were former Governors Jibrilla Bindow and Emeka Ihedioha, alongside Dele Momodu, Dino Melaye, Solomon Dalung, and Gabriel Suswam — all united under the ADC banner in what many now call a historic political realignment.
The coalition has appointed David Mark as interim chairman and Rauf Aregbesola as secretary. Former minister Bolaji Abdullahi will serve as National Publicity Secretary — with clear goals set on unseating President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
The big question remains: Will this coalition hold, and is Atiku truly the chosen one?
