Air India: Last WhatsApp Status Woman Shared 30 Minutes Before Dying in Plane Crash Surfaces
According to a NewsVista reporter, chilling new details have emerged from the tragic Air India crash that claimed 241 lives in Ahmedabad on June 12. Among the victims was Anju Sharma, a woman who unknowingly left a haunting digital footprint just moments before boarding the doomed flight.
Anju, a mother of two and a widow from Kurukshetra, updated her WhatsApp status just 30 minutes before takeoff. It read simply: “Man is a toy.” A family member revealed she often posted thoughtful or cryptic quotes — but this one now feels eerily symbolic.
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which was heading to London’s Gatwick Airport, crashed into the BJ Medical College and Hospital shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. In a cruel twist of fate, only one person survived out of the 242 on board.
Anju had planned a six-month stay in London with her daughter Nimmi. Her other daughter, Honey, remained in India. The loss has devastated the family, with her sister recalling missed video calls and their final moments together: “Everything is finished… She was like a big brother to us.”
In another painful turn, a teenage boy, Akash Patni, was also killed while resting near his family’s tea stall close to the crash site. His mother, Sita, who was injured but survived, remains in intensive care — still unaware that her son is gone.
As authorities investigate, Air India has reportedly announced compensation plans for the families of the victims.
