JAMB to Announce 2025 Admission Cut-Off Marks and UTME Top Scorers on July 8

According to a NewsVista report, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially set Tuesday, July 8, 2025, as the date it will announce the admission cut-off marks for universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and monotechnics across Nigeria.

The announcement will be made during the annual policy meeting scheduled to take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja. JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, confirmed the date in a statement released via the board’s official X handle on Wednesday, July 2.

The highly anticipated policy meeting will bring together vice-chancellors, rectors, provosts, and other major stakeholders in Nigeria’s education sector. Together, they will decide the minimum UTME scores required for admission into tertiary institutions for the 2025/2026 academic session.

JAMB also stated that guidelines for registration, application deadlines, and other admission timelines will be finalized during the event. In addition, the board will use the opportunity to publicly recognize and announce the highest-scoring candidates in the 2025 UTME.

While the event is strictly by invitation, JAMB encouraged the public to follow the live updates through its social media platforms.

The announcement has already sparked a wave of reactions online, with many students eager to know when admission portals will open and how they’ll accept offers—especially those facing challenges with SIM card access or O’Level result uploads.
