She Told Me She Was a Makeup Artist — Until I Found a Calabash and Red Cloth Under Her Bed
According to a report reaching NewsVista, a Nigerian man has recounted his terrifying brush with what he believes was a spiritual trap — all from an innocent-looking Instagram romance.
The man said he met Anita, a glowing, light-skinned “celebrity MUA” known for her flawless makeup reels and influencer photos. Smitten by her charm, he didn’t hesitate to visit her apartment.
But what seemed like a regular visit turned unsettling. “Her place smelled like burnt incense,” he said. “And there were strange symbols around her mirror.” She claimed it was all for “vibes and cleansing,” so he let it slide.
That was until he dropped his power bank under her bed.
“I bent down to grab it and saw a small clay calabash, a red cloth soaked in oil, and two black candles wrapped in nylon,” he told NewsVista. “I acted normal. But deep down, I was scared.”
The real shock came the next day — violent vomiting, sweating, and a red eye. In panic, he called his cousin, known for handling spiritual matters.
“Bro, she’s tying your destiny. Run before she finishes the process,” his cousin warned.
Since then, he’s avoided her completely. But she hasn’t stopped calling — insisting he left something behind.
