“My Dad Wasn’t Sick, He Just Slumped in the Bathroom” — Late Actor Chief Kanran’s Daughter Reveals Real Cause of Death

According to a NewsVista report, the daughter of veteran actor Segun Remi, popularly known as Chief Kanran, has finally revealed how her father tragically passed away.

Speaking in an interview posted on Alore TV’s YouTube channel on Saturday, August 16, 2025, she disclosed that her father fell in the bathroom, slumped, and died because nobody was there to help him at the time.

“My dad was not sick at all, though he had high blood pressure,” she explained. “He even spoke with his brother on the phone the night before. He attended a church anniversary just last Sunday. But in the morning, he fell in the bathroom and died when there was nobody to help him.”

Her heartbreaking revelation has stirred reactions from fans and colleagues who continue to mourn the late Nollywood icon.
