A tragic incident in Maunandzhele village, Bandelierkop, Limpopo, has left the community in shock after a Zimbabwean man allegedly strangled his wife to death before taking his own life. The discovery was made on Wednesday afternoon, 5 November 2025, when concerned neighbours reported a foul smell coming from the couple’s home.
Police arrived to find the 50-year-old woman lying lifeless on the bed, while her 40-year-old husband was found hanging from the ceiling. Authorities believe the couple had died several days prior, with relatives last seeing them alive on Saturday, 1 November. The motive is still under investigation, though domestic conflict is suspected.
