Nairobi Woman Loses Hand Mysteriously Shortly After Giving Birth Through Cs
According to our report, Teresia Wambui of Nairobi faced a tragic turn after giving birth via caesarean section on September 28. Initially successful, her delivery was followed by severe complications in her right hand after receiving a cannula injection, causing swelling and blackening of her fingers.
Transferred to multiple hospitals for treatment, doctors were unable to save the limb. Despite efforts to relieve pressure through incisions, her condition deteriorated, and on October 23, Kenyatta National Hospital performed an amputation. Teresia, now coping with life-altering changes, cannot breastfeed her newborn due to ongoing medication.
Her family has raised concerns about alleged medical negligence, while the initial hospital has stated that an investigation is underway. The case has sparked calls for accountability as the family seeks justice for the devastating outcome.
