Two Men Claim They Unknowingly Helped Bury Neighbour’s Daughter in Rustenburg

Court testimony reveals the accused neighbour, in his 40s, allegedly asked the men, aged 24 and 27, to help “dig a hole for vegetables.” One man thought it was for drainage, another for tree planting. Both say they were stunned when human remains surfaced.

The men plead not guilty to accessory after the fact to murder, maintaining they were unaware of the burial. Investigators say Mpane died in early 2024, with the suspect claiming responsibility but implicating the two men.
