Divine Lunga scoops Man of the Match Award as Sundowns beat Sekhukhune

Warriors defender Divine Lunga was voted Player of the Match on Tuesday evening after staging a good performance for Mamelodi Sundowns, who beat Sekhukhune 2-0 in the Betway Premiership.

Mamelodi Sundowns’ win was secured in additional time of the match, thanks to Nuno Santos and Brayn Leon, who scored in the 91st and 94th minutes of the match.

Although he was not on the scoresheet, Lunga was Sundowns’ best performer on the pitch, proving why the club opted to extend his contract last week.

Lunga is one of the most consistent foreign players at the club, and his contract will see him at the club until 2028.

Tuesday’s win saw Mamelodi Sundowns claim top spot on the log, as they are now on 32 points, three ahead of Orlando Pirates.
