Maswanhise gets prestigious recognition, picked among PFA’s best players

ZIMBABWEAN rising star Tawanda Maswanhise has been named in the prestigious Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Team of the Season.
The recognition caps off an impressive campaign for the England-born player, who is enjoying a good outing at Motherwell in Scotland.
At 23, Maswanhise’s inclusion in the PFA team comes as no surprise, as the Zimbabwean forward has won three Player of the Month accolades in the ongoing campaign.

He is one of five players from Motherwell who have made it onto the PFA Team of the Season, setting a record for the club.
“For the first time since 2012/13, Motherwell have more than one player in the PFA Team of the Season. Calum Ward, Paul McGinn, Elliot Watt, Elijah Just, and Tawanda Maswanhise have all been voted by their fellow pros as part of the best 11 players in the William Hill Premiership this season,” posted Motherwell FC.
Maswanhise is Motherwell FC’s top goal scorer in the ongoing campaign with 22 goals across all competitions.
The Zimbabwean striker is one of the few players in the history of Motherwell to reach the 20-goal mark in one season.
