JUST IN: EMPD’s Julius Mkhwanazi ‘arrested’
Mkhwanazi has reportedly been charged with defeating the ends of justice.
Suspended Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) deputy chief Julius Mkhwanazi has reportedly been arrested.
When contacted by The Citizen, national police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe confirmed that a 50-year-old senior municipal official had been arrested for fraud, corruption and defeating or obstructing the ends of justice.
Broadcaster eNCA reported the official as Mkhwanazi.
