We Were Supposed To Meet On Friday – Salome’s Real Boyfriend Shares Their Last Chat On WhatsApp
In a heart-wrenching revelation, Maxwell Ajah, the boyfriend of the late Salome Eleojo Adaidu, has broken his silence regarding the circumstances surrounding her tragic murder. In a recorded phone interview with Salome’s elder sister, Patience Adaidu Unekwuojo, Maxwell shared intimate details about their relationship and the events leading up to her death.
While the accused in the case, gospel singer Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, claims that Salome was his girlfriend, Maxwell insists he has been in a committed relationship with her since 2018. Reflecting on their bond, Maxwell explained:
“I met Ele sometime in 2017, and we started dating the next year, 2018. Throughout that time, we faced challenges, but we managed to resolve them.”
When asked about their last encounter, Maxwell recounted:
“I saw Ele sometime last week; I think it was on a Wednesday or Thursday. She left my house on Thursday. We were supposed to see on Friday, but I didn’t sleep at home.”
He also noted that Salome expressed concern about being alone, saying:
“She couldn’t sleep alone in the house,” which prompted them to arrange to meet again on Saturday.
Maxwell’s account provides a heartbreaking glimpse into the couple’s plans for the weekend. He added:

“Yes, that was the arrangement. She would stay through until Tuesday after visiting me on Saturday.”
This makes the subsequent events surrounding Salome’s murder on Saturday even more tragic.
