Hunger Games actor, 27, charged with assault with intent to k!ll

Ethan Jamieson, a 27-year-old actor known for his role in The Hunger Games, is facing three felony charges of assault with a de@dly weapon with intent to k!ll. 

He was taken into custody in Raleigh, North Carolina, following allegations that he fired a gun at a passing vehicle. 

Police say the incident occurred on the evening of March 22, 2026, when Raleigh officers were called to reports of gunshots just before 10pm local time. 

A spokesperson for the Raleigh Police Department said that “upon arrival, officers located the victim, who reported that an unknown suspect riding an e-bike had fired a shot at their vehicle while they were driving.” 

“Two additional occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident. 

“During the course of the investigation, detectives identified Ethan Jamieson (27) as the individual who discharged a single gunshot in the direction of the victims’ vehicle,” the spokesperson said. 

According to court documents, the alleged attack involved the use of a 9mm semi-automatic handgun. 

Jamieson was refused bail on 9 April and is due back in court for a disposition hearing on 30 April. 

Arrest records available online identify him as a Raleigh resident and indicate that he was arrested on 21 March 2025 for resisting a public officer, marking this as his second arrest in the past year. 

Jamieson is most widely recognised for appearing in The Hunger Games, the screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins’s bestselling novel. 

In the film, he portrayed the male tribute from District 4 who was k!lled in the initial cornucopia battle at the beginning of the games.
