Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, calls out police officers in Delta state police command C Division for having a resident POS operator allegedly used for extortion (video)

Activist, Harrison Gwamnishi, has called out men of the Delta state police command after claiming they have stationed POS operators who they use whenever they allegedly extort innocent residents of the state.

 

Harrison shared a video showing the moment men of the C Division in the state police command invited a POS operator into the station. 

According to Harrison, the police officers arrested a man identified as Ugochukwu, while on his way to the airport. He claimed the officers held the man for hours and released him after they allegedly extorted N50, 000 from him.

 

The video showed the moment their resident POS operator, a female, came into their office. Harrison alleged that the victim transferred 51,500 to the POS operator, after which he was released.

 

Harrison stated that the victim who was supposed to travel outside the country, missed his flight, and was made to spend a lot of money on a new ticket and hotel room.

 

Reacting to the video, the police complaint unit via its X handle says the officers have been arrested and detained. They are to appear before the Delta state Commissioner of Police today April 16.
